Chinese version of Caregiver Burden Questionnaire for Hemodialysis Patients and its reliability and validity test

Abstract：Objective:To translate the Caregiver Burden Questionnaire for Hemodialysis Patients(CBQ-HP)into Chinese,and to test its reliability and validity.Methods:According to the Beaton translation model,the CBQ-HP was translated,consulted by experts,pre-surveyed and reviewed by original authors to form the Chinese version of CBQ-HP.A total of 480 family caregivers of hemodialysis patients were investigated by convenience sampling to test its reliability and validity.Results:The item-level content validity index(I-CVI)ranged from 0.833 to 1.000,and the scale-level content validity index(S-CVI)was 0.905.Exploratory factor analysis extracted 4 common factors,and the cumulative contribution rate of variance was 69.192%.Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the model fit well.The Cronbach's α coefficient of the total volume table was 0.931,and the Cronbach's α coefficients of the four dimensions ranged from 0.832 to 0.914.The retest reliability was 0.771.The correlation coefficient between the total score of Chinese version of CBQ-HP and the total score of Zarit Caregiver Burden Scale was 0.736(P<0.001).Conclusions:The Chinese version of CBQ-HP has good reliability and validity,which is suitable to measure the burden of family caregivers of hemodialysis patients in China.
