Chinesization of the Measure of Processes of Care for Service Providers and its reliability and validity test

Abstract：Objective:To sinicize the Measure of Processes of Care for Service Providers(MPOC-SP)and to test its reliability and validity.Methods:The Brislin translation model was used to translate the MPOC-SP,and the scale was cross-cultural adjusted,pre-investigated,and reviewed by the original author.A total of 607 professional caregivers from 12 medical institutions and special educational institutions in Beijing,Baoding,Zhengzhou,Chengdu and Guangzhou were selected as subjects of investigation from September 17 to November 30,2023 to test the reliability and validity of the scale.Results:The Chinese version of MPOC-SP included 4 dimensions(showing interpersonal sensitivity,providing general information,communicating specific information about the child,and treating people respectfully)with 26 entries.The average scale-level content validity index was 0.955,and item-level content validity index were ranged from 0.833 to 1.000.The cumulative variance contribution rate of 4 common factors with eigenvalues greater than 1 extracted by exploratory factor analysis was 82.046%.The results of confirmatory factor analysis showed that corrected model's χ2/ν was 2.894,comparative goodness of fit index was 0.944,goodness of fit index was 0.810,normal of fit index was 0.918,incremental fit index was 0.945,Tucker-Lewis index was 0.937,renal function index was 0.907,and root mean square residual was 0.079.The overall Cronbach's α coefficient of the scale was 0.969,the split-half reliability was 0.923,and the test-retest reliability was 0.802.Conclusions:The Chinese version of MPOC-SP has good reliability and validity,which can be used to evaluate the quality of family centered care of professional caregivers in China.
