Construction of core entrustable professional activities framework of advanced practice nurse in China

Abstract：Objective:To establish core entrustable professional activities(EPAs)framework of advanced practice nurse(APN)according to the conditions in China.Methods:The core EPAs indicators and description of APN in China were determined by literature research method,semi-structured interview method and Delphi method.The core competencies,entrustable levels and milestones corresponded to the EPAs indicators were determined by expert meeting method.And core EPAs framework of APN in China was established.Results:2 rounds of expert consultation were conducted with 27 experts.The effective recovery rates of questionnaires were 90.00%and 100.00%,respectively.The authority coefficient values were 0.891 and 0.926,respectively.Kendall's concordance coefficients of indicators importance scores were 0.252 and 0.313(both P<0.001),respectively.And Kendall's concordance coefficients of relevance scores were 0.197 and 0.254(both P<0.001),respectively.Finally,5 domains and 20 EPAs indicators with corresponding descriptions were established,and the core competencies,the expected entrustable levels over different years,and the milestones in the training process required to achieve each indicator were identified.Conclusions:The core EPAs framework of APN in China was established in this study is scientific and practical,which can provide better reference for the cultivation and evaluation of APN in the future.
