Chinese version of the Change Fatigue Scale and its reliability and validity test

Abstract：Objective:To translate the Change Fatigue Scale(CFS)into Chinese,and to test its reliability and validity.Methods:The Chinese version of CFS was formed through translation,back translation,cultural adaptation and pre-investigation.A total of 600 clinical nurses working in a tertiary grade A hospital in Wuhan city were selected by convenience sampling method to test the reliability and validity.Results:There were 6 items in Chinese version of CFS.The item-level content validity index(I-CVI)ranged from 0.800 to 1.000.The universal agreement of scale-level content validity index(S-CVI/UA)was 0.833,and the average scale-level content validity index(S-CVI/Ave)was 0.967.Exploratory factor analysis extracted one common factors,and the cumulative contribution rate of variance was 72.665%.Confirmatory factor analysis showed that all indexes of the model were in the acceptable range.The Cronbach's α coefficient of the total volume table was 0.918,the split half reliability was 0.911,and the retest reliability was 0.894.Conclusions:The Chinese version of CFS has good reliability and validity,and it can be used to evaluate the change fatigue status of nurses in clinical settings.
