Abstract：Objective:To translation the Competency of Nursing Process Questionnaire(CNPQ)into Chinese and to test its reliability and validity.Methods:The English version original scale was translated,translated back,and cross-cultural adjusted according to the Brislin translation model,and a Chinese version of CNPQ was developed through pretesting.650 nurses were selected to test its reliability and validity.Results:The Chinese version of CNPQ exploratory factor analysis extracted 5 common factors and included 21 items,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 68.96%.The confirmatory factor analysis showed that the 5 factors model fit well.The content validity of the scale level was 0.95,the Cronbach's α coefficient of the total scale was 0.978,the Cronbach's α coefficient of each dimension was 0.898-0.956,and the split-half reliability was 0.951;the retest reliability after 2 week was 0.783.Conclusion:The Chinese version of CNPQ has good reliability and validity,and can be used to measure the competency of nursing process of clinical nurses in China.
