Chinesization and reliability validity test of Symptom-Focused Quality of Life Questionnaire for Gastric Cancer Patients after Gastrectomy

Abstract：Objective:To translate the Symptom-Focused Quality of Life Questionnaire for Gastric Cancer Patients after Gastrectomy(KOQUSS-40)and test its reliability and validity.Methods:After Brislin translation mode,translation,expert evaluation and pre-investigation,208 patients of gastric cancer in the gastric oncology department of a tertiary Grade A hospital in Tianjin were selected to evaluate the reliability and validity of the scale.Results:The Chinese version of KOQUSS-40 included 35 items,with content validity index of 0.90 and content validity index at entry level of 0.82～1.00.11 common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis,the cumulative variance contribution of 68.776%.Cronbach's α coefficient of scale was 0.855,and half reliability was 0.855.Conclusion:The Chinese version of KOQUSS-40 has good reliability and validity,and can be used as a measurement tool to assess the postoperative symptom-focused quality of life of gastric cancer patients in China.
