Best evidence summary for management of inter-hospital transport in patients undergoing extracorporeal membrane oxygenation

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate and summarize the best evidence for management of inter-hospital transport in patients undergoing extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO).Methods:The relevant literature regarding the management of inter-hospital transport in patients undergoing ECMO was retrieved in Chinese and foreign databases and related official websites.Literature quality was evaluated according to literature evaluation standards and evidence was extracted.Results:A total of 15 literature was included,involving 4 guidelines,3 systematic reviews,3 cohort studies,1 cross-sectional study,and 4 expert consensuses.A total of 28 pieces of best evidence for management of inter-hospital transport in patients undergoing ECMO were summarized,including 6 aspects with transport decision-making,transfer team construction,equipment consumables management,transfer implementation,transfer adverse events and quality control and training.Conclusions:Medical staff converted evidence into standardized management plan of inter-hospital transport in patients undergoing ECMO according to actual situation,which is beneficial for improving quality of transportation and ensuring patient safety.
