Effect of sex education course on recovery of sexual function after radical mastectomy
Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of sex education course on the recovery of sexual function after radical mastectomy. Methods:A total of 203 patients after radical mastectomy were randomly divided into 100 cases in experimental experimental group and 103 cases in control group. The patients in control group received routine breast education. The patients in experimental group were given 6 courses of sexual education training from the beginning of diagnosis on the basis of regular education, and the intervention effect was evaluated with the Female Sexual Function Scale(FSFI)at the twelfth week after operation. Results:The proportion of sexual dys-function in experimental group(12.0%)was lower than that in control group(95.1%),and the difference was statistically signifi-cant(P<0.001).There was statistically significant difference between the two groups in sexual function scores before and after the intervention(P<0.001).Conclusions:Sex education courses could effectively slow down the decline of the sexual function of patients after radical mastectomy.
