Meta analysis in prevention of venous thrombosis in hospitalized patients in department of orthopedics with intermittent pneumatic compression
Abstract:Objective:To systematically evaluate the effect of intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) of lower limbs on the prevention of venous thrombosis in hospitalized patients in the Department of orthopedics. Methods:The computer retrieved the Cochrane,JBI,MEDLINE,Embase,Pubmed,CNKI,VIP,Wanfang database to collect all the randomized controlled trials and clinical controlled study of IPC for the prevention of venous thrombosis in hospitalized patients.According to inclusion and exclusion criteria, the literature were retrieved independently, the literatures were screened, the quality of the included literatures was evaluated, and the information was extracted.Meta analysis was performed by RevmanS.3 software. Results:A total of 44 literatures were included and all of them were randomized controlled trials. The results of Meta analysis showed that comparison between IPC and unused IPC [random effects model OR=0.37,95 %CI(0.25,0.56)],comparison with elastic socks[fixed effect model OR=0.39,95%CI(0.22,0.69),P=0.001],comparison between low molecular weight heparin sodium +IPC and low molecular weight heparin sodium [fixed effect model OR=0.21,9500CI(0.12,0.36),P<0.000 01],the incidence of venous thrombosis in hospitalized patients was reduced. Conclusions:IPC could reduce the incidence of venous thrombosis in hospitalized patients, and the effect was better combined with anticoagulant drugs.
