Abstract:Objective:To explore the changes of sleep quality and its influencing factors in cirrhotic patients.Methods:126 patients with cirrhosis(cirrhosis group) hospitalized from March 2013 to March 2016 were enrolled in the study. After the patients were stable in hospital, the contents of the investigation were informed. With the informed consent of the patients, the Chinese version of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PQSI) and Epworth Sleepiness Scale(ESS).At the same time,76 healthy people who participated in the physical examination were included as the control group, and the physical examination scale was filled in.The relationship between scales scores and clinical indicators and the influencing factors were analyzed. Results:The PQSI score(11.42 ±4.08)and ESS score(10.26±3.21) in patients with cirrhosis were significantly higher than those in the control group (3.84± 2.87,5.12 ±42.08).There was a positive correlation between PSQI score and MELD score(r=0.494,P<0.001)in cirrhotic patients and Child-Pugh score(r=0.369,P<0.001).There was a positive correlation between ESS score and MELD score(r=0.447,P<0.001) and Child-Pugh score(r=0.282,P=0.001).MELD score(OR=4.335,P<0.01),MHE score(OR=2.131,P<0.01),Child-Pugh score(OR=1.045,P<0.05) and ascites(OR =1.011,P<0.05) were independent risk factors for PSQI score,MELD score(OR=4.255,P<0.01) and MHE score(OR=2.052,P<0.01) were independent risk factors for ESS score. Conclusion:The quality of sleep in patients with cirrhosis decreased significantly, and the degree of decline was affected by the severity of liver disease and related complications.
