Analysis of resident composition in residents with different stroke risk levels in community
Abstract:Objective:To analyze the characteristics of the body composition in different risk groups of stroke patients and provide the basis for primary prevention and management of stroke. Methods:A total of 76 community residents were selected in a community in Beijing by convenient sampling method.According to screening and intervention programs for high risk population of stroke in 2014,the risk of stroke was graded.Inbody 720 Body Composition Meter was used to collect body composition data of residents. Results:The body mass index(BMI)of community residents was 27.29 kg/m2±3.37 kg/m2,which was higher than the 24 kg/m2(P<0.001) that was overweight in our country. The percentages of body fat in males and females were respectively(28.00± 5.61)% and (37.77±4.33)%,all exceeding the normal values(P<0.001).The proportions of body fat in both upper and lower limbs of patients at middle and high risk were greater than those in low risk patients.Community residents' various parts of the muscle volume was in good condition. Conclusions:Among community residents, the proportion of middle and high risk groups in stroke was large and the BMI and body fat levels were generally over-standard.Therefore,we should give targeted diet and exercise intervention to improve their body fat and body composition distribution, reduce the risk of stroke.
