Application effect of late pregnancy perineal massage combined with Kegel exercises in primipara in natural childbirth

Abstract:Objective:To explore application and value of late pregnancy perineal massage combined with Kegel exercises in natural childbirth of primipara.Methods:200 primiparas were randomly divided into control group and observation group,100 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing delivery,and the observation group received massage and exercise on the basis of routine examination after 34 weeks of pregnancy.Duration of labor,postpartum hemorrhage,episiotomy rate,perineal laceration rate,neonatal Apgar score and perineal pain were compared between the two groups.Results:Duration of labor in observation group was significantly lower than that of control group (P<0.05).The rates of episiotomy,perineal laceration,postpartum hemorrhage,neonatal Apgar score and perineal pain were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Late pregnancy perineal massage combined with Kegel exercises used in natural childbirth primipara could shorten duration of labor,reduce postpartum hemorrhage,decrease episiotomy rate,improve the integrity rate,reduce perineal laceration,reduce perineal pain.
