Influence of family cohesion, adaptability and resilience on self-efficacy of stroke patients
Abstract:Objective:To explore influence of family cohesion,adaptability and resilience on self-efficacy of stroke patients and analyze its specific path of action.Methods:A total of 173 hospitalized stroke patients were investigated with the family cohesion and adaptation scale,the Chinese version of the Resilience Scale and the general self-efficacy scale.Results:The score of self-efficacy in stroke patients was (29.73 ± 5.17),among them,122 cases(70.5 %) scored at moderate and below levels.Pearson correlation analysis showed that self-efficacy was positively correlated with the scores of family cohesion,adaptability and resilience(P<0.05).Regression analysis showed that family cohesion,family adaptability,hardiness,strength and optimism could all enter the regression model with self-efficacy as the dependent variable(P<0.05),a total of 53.1% variance was explained.Further path analysis showed that family cohesion and adaptability had a direct and indirect impact on self-efficacy,and resilience,strength and optimism had a direct impact on self-efficacy.Conclusions:The level of self-efficacy of hospitalized stroke patients was relatively poor,and family cohesion and adaptability as well as resilience level were important factors affecting self-efficacy.
