Investigation on cognition and knowledge acquistion of common complications of nurses in bedridden patients
Abstract:Objeetive:To understand the nurses's cognition and knowledge acquisition of the bedridden patients with common complications (pressure sores,lower extremity deep vein thrombosis,pulmonary infection,urinary tract infection).Methods:Using a convenient sampling method,a total of 490 nurses from one third grade hospi tal,one second grade hospital and two first grade hospitals in Beijing were selected,and the survey included the nurse'knowledge,attitude and knowledge acquisition on prevention and treatment of common complication in bedridden patients.Results:Nurses's prevention and treatment knowledge,attitude score ratio on bedridden patients with common complications were 71.54%,86.96 %.The number of nurses who received relevant knowledge was 76.73%,69.39%,56.53%,34.08% and 10.82% respectively through participation in department training,in-hospital training,peer,communication accessing to literature guide and out-hospital training.Conclusions:Nurses' attitude on the prevention and treatment of bedridden patients with common complications was positive,but the level of knowledge needed to be further improved,knowledge access needed to be further enriched.
