Abstract:Objective:To systematically evaluate the effect of the flipped classroom and traditional classroom on nursing students'learning ability. Methods:All studies were retrieved and collected from CNKI,Database of VIP,WANFANG,CBM,Medline,PubMed,Embase, the web of science and the Cochrane Library.Based on the inclusion and excluding criteria and Cochrane Handbook 5.1.0 Bias risk assessment tool, two researchers per-formed literature selection and methodological quality evaluation independently. The meta analysis was per-formed by RevMan 5 .3 software. Results:Totally 21 studies were included, and the results of meta analyses showed that the flipped classroom was better than traditional classroom for nursing students to improve their theoretical achievements [MD=5.55,95%CI(3.507.59),P<0.00001],the scores of skills[MD=5.13,95%CI3.316.95,P<0.00001]and team cooperation ability[RR=1.49,95%CI1.341.66,P< 0.00001].Mean-while,flipped classroom showed an increasing tendency to improve the self learning ability of nursing students. Conclusions:The flipped classroom could help to improve the theoretical achievements, scores of skills, and team cooperation ability of the nursing students. However, the effect of flipped classroom on the self learning ability of nursing students was still uncertain. Therefore, large sample and high quality studies were still needed to further assess the effect.
