Analysis of loneliness status and influencing factors of disabled elderly
Abstract:Objective:To know about the loneliness status of disabled elderly in Zhejiang province and explore its influencing factors.Methods:Activity of Daily Living Scale,UCLA Loneliness Scale,Social Science Research Solutions and the Geriatric Depression Scale were used to investigate 362 cases of disabled elderly at home and institution in Zhejiang province.Results:Loneliness score of disabled elderly was(44.34±10.38),showed that the disabled elderly had a significant loneliness experience.Marital status,living condition,main economic source,monthly income level,disability quantity and health self-evaluation status had an influence on the loneliness scores of the disabled elderly(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that loneliness score of disabled elderly was negatively correlated with social support score(r=-0.447,P<0.001).The results of Spearman correlation analysis showed that the loneliness score of the disabled elderly was positively related to the depression scores(r=0.571,P<0.001).Through multiple linear regression analysis,depression and social support were the main influencing factors of loneliness in the elderly with disability.Conclusions:The loneliness status of disabled elderly in Zhejiang province was not optimistic,relevant departments should pay attention to them and formulate corresponding interventions according to the influencing factors so as to promote the mental health of disabled elderly.
