Analysis of nasojejunal tube use time and risk factors of catheter occlusion

Abstract：Objective:To probe into the nasojejunal tube use time and factors leading to obstruction.Methods:A total of 84 elderly patients with long-term nasojejunal tube were observed by self-made scale.Results:84 patients were extubated due to obstruction,the shortest use time was 53 d,up to 149 d,no adverse events occurred during use.Continuous injection time was the risk factors cacuing catheter occlusion(P＜0.05).Conclusions:Appropriately to extend the nasojejunal tube use time was feasible.The longer the duration of the lasting pumping of nutrient solution was,the higher the risk the nasojejunal tube occlusion.Nurses should be vigilant and strengthen catheter maintenance.
