Application research on Seminar teaching method in clinical probation of "surgical nursing" of undergraduate nursing students in national colleges and universities
Abstract：Objective:To probe into the application effect of Seminar teaching method in clinical probation of surgical nursing of undergraduate nursing students in national colleges and universities.Methods:A total of 107 undergraduate nursing students in a university for nationalities in grade 2010-2012 were selected and randomly divided into observation group(54 persons) and control group(53 persons) by using cluster sampling method.Seminar teaching method and traditional teaching method were used respectively for clinical probation in both groups.Before and after the intervention,the professional ability and quality of students in two groups were assessed by the critical thinking ability scale,the communication ability scale and the team cohesion questionnaire.After the trainees were completed,all students were assessed by using the self-designed comprehensive nursing ability comprehensive examination table and Seminar teaching method teaching evaluation table.Results:After the intervention,the critical thinking ability of students in observation group(198.2±20.7)and communication ability(66.0±5.1) were higher than that in control group(183.7±14.6,63.8±4.2),the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The surgical nursing basic comprehensive ability examination score(78.2±8.4) in observation group was higher than that in control group(72.5±8.7),and the difference was statistically significant between two groups(P<0.05).Most nursing students had a positive attitude towards the teaching effect of Seminar teaching method.Conclusions:In the clinical practice of surgical nursing,the effect of Seminar teaching method was superior to traditional method,and was suitable for undergraduate nursing students in national colleges and universities.
