Influence of acupoint exercise on sleep and anxiety in patients with sleep deprivation in intensive care unit
Abstract:Objective:To observe the influence of acupoint manipulation on sleep and anxiety in patients with sleep deprivation in intensive care unit. Methods: A total of 113 cases of patients with sleep deprivation in ICU were randomly divided into control group(56 cases) and observation group(57 cases). The patients in control group were given routine nursing intervention, and the patients in observation group were given acupoint manipulation intervention on the basis of the routine nursing intervention. Two groups of patients were evaluated by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale (PSQI) and Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) before and after intervention. Results:There were statistically significant differences in PSQI score and SAS score between the two groups on the 7th day after intervention(P<0.05),the scores of PSQI and SAS in the two groups after intervention were lower than those before intervention (P<0.05).The sleeping rate(71.12±13.15)% and the total effective rate(89.47%) in observation group were higher than that in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint exercises could improve the anxiety of patients with sleep deprivation in ICU,and improve their quality of sleep.
