Abstract:Objective:To probe into the quality of life and its influencing factors in children with congenital intestinal atresia. Methods:A total of 125 cases of congenital intestinal atresia in a hospital from 2001 to 2013 were selected as the research objects(case group). The quality of life (PedsM4.0),the Heikkinen clinical score standard of defecation functionand the family function rating scale (FAD) were used to investigate the mothers of children with congenital intestinal atresia by the telephone or mail, and were compared with 84 healthy children (control group). Results:The physiological function, social function, role function and overall quality of life and defecation function scores of the patients in case group were lower than those in control group (P<0.05).The emotional involvement and total functional score in family function were higher than those in control group (P<0.05).In addition to the dimension of emotional involvement, the quality of life score was negatively correlated with the scores of family function, and positively correlated with defecation function (P<0.05).The defecation function, family function and role division entered into the multiple regression quality of life, and they explained 48.4% of the total variance. Conclusion:Family function and defecation function could affect quality of life of children with congenital intestinal atresia.Nursing staff should take the family as a whole into the treatment and care, make the scientific and rational disease management,so as to improve the quality of life of children.
