Abstract:Objective:To reduce the rate of lung infection in patients with adult leukemia during chemotherapy. Methods:A total of 213 patients with acute leukemia chemotherapy were enrolled in this study from January to December in December, and 105 patients in the first half of the year were selected as the control group. The patients in other half of the year were selected as the experimental group. The patients in control group were treated with routine care of leukemia patients.Besides that the patients in experimental group received the evidence-based hypertonic saline inhalation therapy, and then the incidence of pulmonary infection in both groups was compared. Results:The infection rate of lung infection was 10.19% in the experimental group of acute leukemia patients, which was lower than that in the control group (24.76%),the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusions:Hypertonic saline aerosol inhalation therapy was superior to our routine nursing method in the prevention of lung infection in adult patients with leukemia. However,it needed to be studied further how long the hypertonic saline inhalation therapy was carried out, that has no adverse effect on the patients or not.
