Correlation research on post-traumatic growth and post-traumatic stress disorder in patients with breast cancer

Abstract：Objective:To probe into the level of post-traumatic growth and post-traumatic stress disorder in patients with breast cancer.Methods:A total of 102 cases of breast cancer patients were investigated by using general information questionnaire,Posttraumatic Growth,Inventory(PTGI) and post-traumatic stress disorder PTSD Checklist-Civilian Version,PCL-C).Results:The post traumatic growth score of breast cancer patients was(67.81±15.49).The score of PTSD was(35.11±11.46).The positive rate of PTSD was 25.49%.Conclusion:Most breast cancer patients and chemotherapy patients had different degree of trauma,and some patients had different degree of post-traumatic stress disorder.There was no significant correlation between posttraumatic growth and post traumatic stress disorder.
