Cross-sectional study on influencing factors of hyperlipidemia in nurses: a cross-sectional study
Abstract:Objective:To investigate the prevalence and related influencing factors of hyperlipidemia in nurses and provide reasonable guidance for prevention. Methods:A total of 214 clinical nurses were enrolled in the cross-sectional study.Demographic characteristics, dietary, physical activity and stress levels were measured by using Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQFFQ),International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ-Short Form) and Stress Overload Scale (SOS).Results:The prevalence of hyperlipidemia in nurses was 50.93%.Logistic regression analysis indicated that with a familial history of hyperlipidemia, the wrist-to-hip ratio(WHR) higher than 0.85,passive smoking history, higher stress level and lower glycemic load (GL) were associated with hyperlipidemia among nurses closely(P<0.05 for each). Conclusions:The incidence of hyperlipidemia in nurses group was higher, the familial history of hyperlipidemia,WHR,passive smoking, stress levels and glycemic load (GL) were influencing factors of hyperlipidemia.
