The reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the Beliefs and Attitudes toward Visitation in ICU Question-naire
Abstract：Objective:To form the Beliefs and Attitudes toward Visitation in ICU Questionnaire(BAVIQ)Chi-nese version.Methods:The Chinese version of BAVIQ was formed through translation,counter-translation,and expert evaluation.A total of 295 medical staffs were evaluated and tested for reliability and validity.Results:The Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of the Chinese version BAVIQ ranged from 0.806 to 0.835.The Cronbach's Al-pha coefficient of subscales ranged from 0.641 to 0.712,and the average content validity index(S-CVI/Ave) was 0.83.The Chinese version of BAVIQ consisted 26 items,in which 22 item-level I-CVI was over 0.71.The exploratory factor analysis identified 5 principal factors and the accumulating contribution rate was 51.51%. The correlation coefficient among dimensions and between dimensions and total questionnaire ranged from 0.501 to 0.848.Conclusions:The Chinese version of BAVIQ has good reliability and validity,which can be used to measure the beliefs and attitudes of medical staffs in China toward ICU visitation.
