Analysis of perineal lacerations in “Hands on”method after kneeling position childbirth and lateral childbirth
Abstract:Objective:To probe into the perineum lateralization rate and laceration status of“Hands on”protec-tion perineum delivery method during kneeling position childbirth, lateral position childbirth and traditional su-pine position childbirth. Methods:Parturients with full term pregnant, normal head position fetal,no pregnan-cy complications and vaginal delivery were involved in this study and were divided into three groups:kneeling position childbirth group(72 cases),lateral position childbirth group(72 cases),and supine position childbirth group(72 cases).“Hands on”method was used in all three groups, and the episiotomy and laceration condi-tions in the three groups were observed. Results:There were no statistically significant differences in the elastic-ity of perineal and body weight of neonatal among the three groups. The episiotomy rate of kneeling group,lat-eral group and supine group were 0.00%,6.94%,and 23.61% respectively and there was statistically signifi cant difference between kneeling group and supine group(P<0.001),so as between lateral group and supine group(P<0.001).There was no statistically significant difference between kneeling group and lateral group(P>0.05).There was no significant statistically difference in the degree of periurethral laceration and non lateral perineal laceration among the three groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:“Hands on”method used during kneeling position childbirth and lateral position childbirth had a lower episiotomy rate than supine position childbirth. At the same time,it didn’s increase the degree of perineal laceration and periurethral laceration.
