Influence of gratitude intervention on self management level of elderly patients with community hypertension
Abstract:Objective:To probe into the influence of gratitude intervention on self management level of elderly patients with community hypertension.Methods:The convenience sampling method was used,a total of 100 eld-erly patients with community hypertension were randomly divided into observation group and control group ac-cording to the random number table method,50 cases in each.The patients in control group were given routine health education,and the patients in observation group were given the gratitude intervention.The gratitude lev-el,blood pressure control rate,blood pressure control pass rate,and self management ability of patients were compared between both groups.Results:After intervention,the level of gratitude of patients in observation group was higher than that in control group(P<0.05).The pass rate of blood pressure control and the rate of blood pressure control at different time in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05). The self management ability of patients in observation group was higher than that in control group(P<0.05). The self management ability of patients in observation group was better than that in control group in the as-pects of food control,emotional management,adhere to exercise,monitoring blood pressure on time,smoking management,drinking management and medication compliance(P<0.05).However,there was no statistically significant difference in the regular follow up score between both groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The implemen-tation of gratitude education could improve the psychological status of patients,and enhance their self manage-ment level.It was conducive to blood pressure control and to improve the treatment effect.
