Analysis of abdominal cavity drainage fluid after abdominal operation and its clinical significance
Abstract:Objective:To detect the characteristics and composition of abdominal cavity drainage fluid after the abdominal operation,to analyze its clinical significance,so as to provide accurate and reliable laboratory evidence for the screening of postoperative complications. Methods:A total of 262 cases of abdominal surgery patients were enrolled in this study.By collecting the abdominal drainage liquid from the first day after the operation till pulled out the abdominal drainage tube, drainage detection routine and biochemical traits were detected,inclu-ding color, transparency, drainage volume, density,pH value, total cell counts, white blood cell counts, and sug-ar,protein and chloride level. Results:The laboratory testing range of drainage fluid in 262 patients was calculat-ed out. These patients were divided into three groups:the upper gastrointestinal(93 cases),lower gastrointesti-nal(115 cases)and retroperitoneal(54 cases).Statistically, the drainage fluid volume, total cell counts, white blood cell counts, multinucleated cell counts, monocyte counts, and sugar level were significantly different a-mong the three groups(P<0.05).While in terms of the transparency, density,pH value, and protein and chlo-ride level, there were no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusions:The analysis of drainage fluids will pro-vide valuable laboratory data for complication screening, diagnosis, treatment and related research of abdominal surgery.
