Retention enema temperature:a bibliometrics analysis and methodological quality assessment

Abstract：Objective:To carry out bibliometrics analysis for the clinical studies on retention enema temperature;to understand its research status quo and develop trend;to take a methodological quality assessment on random-ized controlled trials of retention enema temperature,in order to provide references for clinical workers and re-searchers.Methods:The related clinical literatures of retention enema temperature were searched in Chinese lit-erature database,including Chinese National Knowledge China Infrastructure Databases (CNKI)database,Chi-nese Scientific Journal Database(VIP),Chinese Biomedical Literature Database(Sino Med)and Wan Fang Da-tabase.The bibliometric analysis method was used to analyze from the aspects of,the year distribution,periodi-cal,fund,regional distribution of literatures and characteristics of stuidics,and methods quality of randomized controlled trials of retention enema temperature was assessed.Results:There were 27 articles enrolled in this study.The article amount increased year by year,mainly in randomized controlled trials(66.67%)and non randomized controlled trials(18.52%);major published in Chinese medicine journals and nursing journals;lack of multi centre cooperation proj ects and funds support.The intervention group used the enema liquid tempera-ture of 4 ℃ to 50 ℃,with a large span,and the common temperature was 37 ℃ to 39 ℃.The methodological quality of research method was poor;in about 94.4% of the randomized controlled trials the implementation process of random allocation scheme and blind method didn’t be reported.Conclusion:the researches on reten-tion enema temperature were gradually increasing,but the research design and methodological quality were poor.
