Analysis of post traumatic growth status of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma and its influencing factors

Abstract：Objective:To probe into the level of post traumatic growth in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma and its influencing factors.Methods:A total of 130 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma were investigated by general situation questionnaire,Post Traumatic Growth Inventory (PTGI),General Self Efficacy scale(GSES) and Self rating Depression Scale(SDS).Results:The score of post traumatic growth in patients with nasopharyn-geal carcinoma was (60.75±8.50);multiple linear regression analysis showed that duration,self efficacy and depression were the main factors affecting the post traumatic growth of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients,al-together explained 77.1% variation.Conclusion:The level of post traumatic growth of patients with nasopharyn-geal carcinoma was moderate,nursing staff should strengthen psychological counseling for patients with naso-pharyngeal carcinoma and take effective interventions to promote the post traumatic growth of patients with na-sopharyngeal carcinoma.
