Systematic evaluation on effect of psychological intervention for health related quality of life in patients with post-operative breast cancer

Abstract:Objective:To clarify the influence of psychological intervention on health related quality of life (QOL)of patients with postoperative breast cancer.Methods:Two researchers independently screened and eval-uated the literatures and extracted data by PubMed,Web of Science,LISTA,Library of Congress,Acad Search Prem,Cochrane,Chinese biomedical literature database,Wanfang database,CNKI database and VIP database, Meta analysis was carried out by Revman 5.3 software.Results:A total of 29 randomized controlled trials,2649 patients were included in the study,1342 cases in intervention group,1307 cases in control group.The interven-tion methods mainly included psychological counseling,psychological support,cognitive intervention and behav-ior intervention,intervention time for 6 to 8 weeks,followed up from 3 months to 6 months.Assessment tools of quality of life mainly were QLQ C30,FACT B and GQOLI 74.In addition to FACT B score comparison results,the total score of QLQ C30 (Z =4.60,P <0.01)and GQOLI 74 score (Z =3.20,P =0.001)compar-ison showed the quality of life of patients in intervention group was higher than that in control group,there was statistically significant difference (P <0.05).Conclusion:Psychological intervention could improve the quality of life of patients with postoperative breast cancer,but time and frequency of psychological intervention on postop-erative breast cancer patients as well as the development and application of specific scale of quality of life to Chi-nese breast cancer patients need to be probed into further.
