Influence of low phosphorus diet intervention on nutritional status,psychological status,blood phosphorus and blood glucose management in hemodialysis patients with renal failure

Abstract：Objective:To probe into the influence of low phosphorus diet intervention on nutritional status,psy-chological status,blood phosphorus and blood glucose management in hemodialysis patients with renal failure. Methods:A total of 92 maintenance hemodialysis patients with renal failure in our hospital from April 2013 to December 2015 were randomly divided into two groups,46 cases in each.The patients in control group were giv-en conventional diet intervention,the patients in observation group were given low phosphorus diet interven-tion.The nutritional status,psychological status,blood phosphorus and incidence of hypoglycemina were com-pared between both groups.Results:After treatment,serum albumin and prealbumin values of patients in both groups were higher than those before treatment(P <0.05),serum albumin and prealbumin values in observation group were higher than that in control group after treatment(P <0.05);there was significant differences in ser-um phosphorus between two groups after treatment(P <0.05),and both were lower than that before treatment (P <0.05);incidence of hypoglycemia in observation group was lower than that in control group during treat-ment(P <0.05);after treatment,hostility,terror,paranoid,somatic,obsessive compulsive symptoms,interper-sonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety and psychotic scores of observation group were lower than those of control group(P <0.05).Conclusion:Low phosphorus diet intervention applied on hemodialysis patients with renal fail-ure could improve nutritional status of body,reduce content of serum phosphorus,improve blood glucose man-agement,and promote mental health of patients.
