Analysis of status quo and influencing factors of knowledge,attitude and behavior of nurses on organ donation coor-dination
Abstract:Objective:To probe into the status quo and influencing factors of knowledge,attitude and behavior of nurses on organ donation coordination.Methods:A total of 303 nurses in 35 departments in a grade third A gen-eral hospital in Beijing city were investigated with self designed general information questionnaire and organ donation coordination knowledge scale,attitude scale,behavior questionnaire.Results:The mean score of organ donation coordination knowledge scale was 20.14,the mean score of attitude scale was 3.73,the mean score of dynamic dimension of organ donation coordination work attitude scale was 4.01,and the mean score of resist-ance dimension was 2.47.0.7% subjects indicated that they had some experiences in the organ donation coordi-nation.0.3% subjects said that they had been professional organ donation coordinator.Organ donation coordina-tion knowledge score was positively correlated with organ donation coordination attitude score(r=0.171,P <0.05). Stepwise regression analysis showed that 3 factors including the professional title,public welfare activities and related training of organ transplantation and donation influenced the KAB knowledge score(P <0.05).Profes-sional title,education level,encountered potential donors during work and people around doing organ donation were factors affecting the attitude score(P <0.05).Conclusion:Nurses’knowledge on organ donation coordina-tion was at a moderate level.Nurses on the organ donation coordination work had more positive attitude,but al-so had many worries.The relevant training should be strengthened for nurses,to accelerate the professional con-struction of organ donation coordination work,so as to eliminate the worries of nurses and make them actively participate in organ donation coordination.
