Application of comprehensive intervention based on non invasive respiratory muscle functional exercise in COPD pa-tients with constipation
Abstract:Objective:To probe into the influence of comprehensive intervention based on non invasive respiratory muscle functional exercise on lung function and defecation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)pa-tients in stable stage. Methods:A total of 84 patients with stable COPD were selected in department of respirato-ry medicine in our hospital from July 2012 to February 2015.They were divided into study group and control group according to the order of admission,42 cases in each. The patients in control group were treated with rou-tine sputum, cough and anti infection treatment, while the patients in study group received the comprehensive intervention of non invasive respiratory muscle functional exercise based on the routine treatment. Two groups of patients were surveyed by SGRQ questionnaire and recorded the improvement situation of constipation symp-toms on 1st day before the intervention and at the fourth week after the intervention. Results:There was no sta-tistically significant difference in the score of SGRQ between both groups before treatment(P >0.05 );at the end of 4th week after treatment the respiratory symptoms, activity limitation, disease effect and total score in study group were lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05);the frequency of defecation in study group was higher than that in control group at the second week, third week and fourth week after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05);the total efficiency of im-proved constipation symptoms in study group was higher than that in control group, and the difference was sta-tistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion:Comprehensive intervention based on non invasive respiratory mus-cle functional exercise for COPD patients with constipation could improve the symptoms of constipation and en-hance the level of lung function.
