Application of SBAR standardized bedside handover in elderly bed patients
Abstract：Objective:To probe into the application effect of situation background-assessment recommenda-tion (SBAR)standardized bedside shift for elderly bed patients.Methods:The standardized bedside shift table was established for elderly bed patients based on SBAR,the sequence and content of nursing shift was stand-ardized,the shift quality and the satisfaction of health care workers in the department to shift work were evalu-ated at a week before SBAR standardized bedside shift and half a year after that,and the bedside shift time was analyzed before and after the implementation of standardized bedside shift.Results:After half a year,nurses' shift quality and the satisfaction of health care workers in department were higher than that before implementa-tion of standardized bedside shift,and the shift time was shorter than that before implementation,the differ-ence was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:SBAR standardized bedside shift for elderly bed patients was helpful to improve the nurses’shift quality and the satisfaction of health care workers in department and shorten the shift time.
