Influence of self management education on health behavior and prognosis of young and middle aged patients with hypertension
Abstract:Objective:To probe into the influence of self management education on the health behavior and prognosis of the young and middle aged patients with hypertension.Methods:A total of 200 cases of young and middle aged patients with hypertension were randomly divided into control group and observation group,100 cases in each.The patients in control group received routine health education,discharge guidance and telephone follow up.The patients in observation group received routine health education and strengthened health educa-tion according to the self management education project,and developed behavioral health plan with goals and health education would be extended after discharge.And two groups of patients were compared on self man-agement ability and health behavior scores,blood pressure control and incidence of heart cerebrovascular acci-dent.Results:1 years after discharge,the disease self management ability scores,health behavior score in obser-vation group were higher than in control group(P <0.05).The level of blood pressure control was better than in control group(P <0.05).Within 1 year,the incidence of cardiovascular accidents and readmission rate were low-er than that in control group(P <0.05).Conclusion:To implement self management health education could im-prove the patients’disease self management for the young and middle aged patients with hypertension,set up good healthy behaviors,effectively control blood pressure,reduce the occurrence of cardiovascular and cerebro-vascular accident.
