Burden and coping style of family caregivers of patients with recurrent multiple sclerosis and their correlation anal-ysis
Abstract：Objective:To investigate the burden condition of family caregivers of patients with recurrent multiple sclerosis and its correlation with coping style,so as to provide a basis for reducing the burden level of caregiv-ers.Methods:A total of 1 1 6 patients with multiple sclerosis were investigated by using the self designed general information questionnaire,daily life activity ability scale,Zarit nursing burden scale,simplified coping style ques-tionnaire,and discussed the correlation between the variables by using Pearson correlation analysis method.Re-sults:The burden of caregivers had correlation with the ADL of patients with multiple sclerosis,the time of ill-ness,recurrence times,the age of caregivers,length of care,time of day care and coping style (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusion:It was helpful to reduce the burden of family caregivers to improve patients’self care and daily life ability through the nursing intervention and providing psychological counseling for the caregivers.
