Evaluation on clinical effect of extended care intervention for elderly discharge patients with hip fracture complicat-ed with osteoporosis
Abstract:Objective:To probe into the clinical effect of extended care intervention in secondary prevention of elderly hip fracture of osteoporosis.Methods:A total of 1 60 cases discharged patients with hip fracture compli-cated with osteoporosis from November 2012 to December 2014 in orthopedic ward over 65 years were randomly divided into control group and intervention group,80 cases in each.The patients in control group received rou-tine discharge follow up,the patients in intervention group received secondary prevention of osteoporosis nurs-ing intervention on the basis of routine follow up.Then to compare the medication compliance,and life ability score at the first month,third month and sixth month after intervention,and status of again fracture in six month.Results:Self care ability and medication adherence of intervention group were better than that in con-trol group(P <0.05),the incidence of again fractures was lower than that in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion:extended care can effectively improve the awareness of elder-ly hip fracture patients to treatment compliance and osteoporosis,to reduce the incidence of again fracture.
