Comparative study on reliability and validity of two kinds of quality of life questionnaire of strabismus patients
Abstract：Objective:To compare the reliability and validity of two kinds of quality of life questionnaire(AS 20 scale,ASQE scale)of strabismus patients.Methods:A total of 213 cases of adult patients with strabismus, another 100 cases of people with normal vision and 100 patients with other eye diseases were selected.Two re-searchers used ASQE scale,AS 20 scale,and NEI VFQ 25 for test of all patients at the same time.After 3 days,50 cases of patients with good cooperation entered in the second AS 20 and ASQE.Results:Cronbach’αcoefficients of the two questionnaires were respectively 0.915 and 0.899,and the retest reliability was respec-tivety 0.923 and 0.876.The correlation between items and total scores of the two questionnaires was moderate except item 24 in ASQE.The correlation between AS 20 or ASQE and NEI VFQ 25 on the total scores were 0.449 and 0.558,and both of them could discriminate well among the groups of strabismus patients.For predic-tive validity,all indicators of AS 20 were better than that of the ASQE.Conclusion:Both of the AS 20 and ASQE questionnaire showed good validity and reliability,and AS 20 was better than the ASQE.
