Study of correlation between nursing students’problem solving ability and psychological resilience

Abstract：Objective:To know about the status quo of the problem solving ability and psychological resilience of undergraduate nursing students and the relationship between them,so as to provide basis for improving nursing students’problem solving ability.Methods:A total of 194 undergraduate sophomore nursing students were selected by using convenient sampling method and they were surveyed by using problem solving ability scale and Conner Davis psychological resilience scale.Results:The positive problem orientation of nursing students was better,and the ralational problem solving ability was relatively poor,and the deficiency of nursing students in solving prob-lems included negative problem orientation,impulse/neglect and avoidance.The psychological resilience of nurs-ing students was poor,the psychological resilience of external nursing students was better than that of introvert-ed nurse students.Self reliance was low correlated with rational problem solving,the dimensions scores and total score of the psychological resilience were low correlated with the avoidance style.The explanation of self reli-ance for the orientation of positive problems was 1 .6%,and the explanation of self reliance for the rational problem solving was 2.2%.Conclusion:The development of psychological resilience of nursing students may on-ly improve the problem solving ability of nursing students within a certain range.
