Influence of finger percussion Baihui acupoint combined with cognitive behavior intervention on constipation of pa-tents after stroke
Abstract:Objective:To study the influence of finger percussion Baihui acupoint combined with cognitive behav-ior intervention on constipation of patients after stroke. Methods:A total of 1 60 patients were randomly divided into observation group(3 subgroups)and control group,40 cases in each. The patients in control group received the routine constipation nursing intervention in the department of Neurology.Beside the routine constipation nursing intenention the patients in observation group I received finger percussion Baihui acupoint. The patients in observation group II received cognitive behavior intervention, the patients in observation group III received the finger percussion Baihui acupoint combined with cognitive behavior intervention. The intervention effect was observed and compared among all groups. Results:The symptoms of constipation scores in all observation sub-groups were lower than that in control group after intervention, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).The curative effect of observation group III was significantly higher than those in control group,ob-servation group I and observation group II,and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The Bar-thel index score(BI)and mini mental state examination score(MMSE)in observation group III were signifi-cantly higher than those in control group, observation group I and observation group II,and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion:Finger percussion Baihui acupoint combined with cognitive behav-ior intervention can effectively prevent and reduce the incidence of constipation of patients after stroke, improve the effect of clinical care and family care, improve the quality of life of patients, and promote patients’early re-habilitation.
