Analysis of reliability and validity of Brief COPE in adolescents experienced explosion events
Abstract：Objective:To evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of Brief COPE in adolescents experienced explosion.Methods:A total of 655 students in grade one and grade two from two junior schools who experienced pipeline explosion were selected to complete the analysis of reliability and validity of Brief COPE by using convenience sampling method.108 students were selected to finish resurvey of Brief COPE for 4 weeks later for assessing the retest reliability.Results:7 factors were extracted as exploratory factor analysis and they explained 62.60% of variance.the fit indexes includingχ2/df ,RMSEA,Goodness of Fit(GFI),TLI,CFI in con-firmatory factor analysis were respectively 2.75,0.07,0.83,0.82,0.85.The Cronbach’s αranged from 0.52 to 0.84,and the retest reliability ranged from 0.48 to 0.71.Conclusion:Both reliability and validity of the Chinese version of Brief COPE were more ideal,they conformed to the requirements of the psychometrics and can meet the needs of the relevant research and clinical application in the future in China.
