Application and nursing care of individualized rehabilitation guidance for elderly patients with knee replacement in perioperative period

Abstract:Objective:To probe into responsibility of nurses carrying out the nursing methods and measures of in-dividualized rehabilitation guidance in elderly patients with knee j oint replacement in perioperative period.Meth-ods:A total of 28 cases of elderly severe knee osteoarthritis undergoing total knee arthroplasty in our depart-ment were selected.The responsibility of nurses carried out the comprehensive and systematic evaluation before and after surgery,to make the individualized rehabilitation nursing plan and to implement.Results:All 28 cases had successful operation,and no complications occurred.After postoperative follow up for 6 months to 2 years,the knee j oint mobility met the requirements and could walk with load,could meet the needs of the pa-tients’daily life;patients were satisfied with the nursing job.Conclusion:The application of individualized reha-bilitation guidance idea in responsibility system nursing model could well improve the relationship between nur-ses and patients,to promote patients’recovery and reduce complications.
