Abstract:Objective:To probe into the effect of non positive pressure joint combined with modified sealing tube method for reducing the risk of catheter related blood stream infection (CRBSI).Methods:A total of 373 pa-tients with single lumen of central venous catheter indwelling into the j ugular vein were randomly divided into three groups,125 cases in control group,124 cases in observation group Ⅰ and 124 cases in observation groupⅡ.The impulse type positive pressure washpipe was used for the patients in three groups. At the same time, three groups of patients were given nursing intervention with different joints and different sealing tube method. The patients in control group used the traditional Kelaifu positive pressure joint, observation group I using Q Syte BD non positive pressure joint, was used for the patients in observation groups, the improved sealing tech-nique was used for the patients in observation groupⅡ on the basis of Q Syte BD non positive pressure joint. The incidence of CRBSI was compared among the three groups after follow up for four months. Results:The incidence of CRBSI was 2.66/1 000 in control group. The incidence of CRBSI was 1.34/1 000 in observation group Ⅰ.The incidence of CRBSI was 0/1 000 in observation group Ⅱ.There was statistically significant differ-ence in the incidence of CRBSI among three grollps(P<0.05).Conclusion:The non positive pressure joint com-bined with modified sealing tube method could reduce the risk of CRBSI.
