Experimental study on influence of elephantiasis myogenic cream on effect of transforming growth factor beta and fibronectin content in granulation tissue of ulcer in type 2 diabetes rat
Abstract:Objective:To take elephantiasis myogenic cream to treat type 2 diabetes of rat ulcer and observe the changes of transforming growth factor beta (TGF β)and fibronectin (FN)content in ulcer wound granula-tion tissue. Methods:Totally 40 rats were randomly selected as control group from 1 60 SD rats. The other 120 SD rats were made into type 2 diabetes models. After the ulcer model prepared, the ulcer rats models were made. These model rats were randomly divided into model group, positive control group and experimental group based on blood glucose and body weight,40 rats in each group. The rats in model group were given physiological saline gauze application. The rats in positive control group were given topical hydrocolloid dressings. The rats in experimental group received elephantiasis myogenic cream.10 rats in each group were randomly and sacrificely selected on the first day,the seventh day,the fourteenth day and the 21st day and the same parts of the wound tissue were taken for making slice.TGF beta and FN content were detected by immunohistochemical method. Results:Except the blank control group, there were no significant changes in TGF βand FN.The expression of TGF βin the 3 groups achieved the peak on the seventh day,and then it decreased all the time. The expression of FN only in experimental group first achieved the peak on the fourteenth day.The expression of FN in other two groups have been on the rising trend. In experimental group, the expression of TGF βand FN and wound healing rate were higher than those in control group and the model group at any time quantum, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05 ).Conclusion:For type 2 diabetic rat ulcer, the elephantiasis myogenic cream could quickly promote the expression of granulation tissue TGF βand FN,then to promote wound healing.
