Abstract:Objective:To probe into the influence of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation on clinical symp-toms,quality of life and psychology of patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease. Methods:A total of 46 pa-tients with gastroesophageal reflux disease were randomly divided into intervention group and control group,23 cases in each. The patients in control group received the routine drug therapy and nursing, while the patients in intervention group received the transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation in Zusanli and Neiguan Acupoints on the basis of the routine drug therapy and nursing. Then the curative effect was evaluated by using the reflux dis-ease questionnaire,Zung self rating anxiety scale (SAS),self rating depression scale (SDS)and simple health status questionnaire (SF 36)before and after the intervention. Results:The symptom score, anxiety and de-pression scores of patients in intervention group after the intervention were significantly lower than that in con-trol group (P < 0.05 ).The 3 dimensions including quality of life related to total health, energy and mental health of intervention group were significantly improved comparing with that in control group (P <0.05).Con-clusion:The transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation in Zusanli and Neiguan acupoints may reduce the clinical symptoms of patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease and improve their quality of life.
