Effect observation on health education for close family contacts of patients with smear positive pulmonary tuberculosis
Abstract：Objective:To probe into the effect of targeted health education for the close family contacts of pa-tients with smear positive tuberculosis patients.Methods:A total of 100 close family contacts of patients with smear positive pulmonary tuberculosis were divided into observation group and control group.The patients in observation group used targeted plans for health education and the patients in control group used conventional care programs for health education.The total awareness rate of tuberculosis core information,visiting rate and prevalence were compared before and after health education between both groups.Results:There was statistical-ly significant difference in the total awareness rate of core information of tuberculosis after intervention between both groups(P <0.01),and the difference was statistically significant in visiting rate and prevalence after inter-vention between both groups(P <0.05).Conclusion:The health education on tuberculosis related knowledge for their close family contacts of patients with smear positive pulmonary tuberculosis can improve their cognition level on the knowledge of tuberculosis prevention and control,so as to improve visiting rate of the close family contacts and reduce the prevalence.
