Analysis of status quo and influencing factors of empowerment evaluation level of diabetes patients
Abstract：Objective:To investigate the status quo of empowerment in type 2 diabetes patients and analyze its in-fluencing factors.Methods:A total of 346 diabetic inpatients were investigated by using Diabetes Empowerment Scale Short Form of Chinese Version(C DES SF).Results:The DES score of inpatients was(3.09 ±0.97);Occupation,medical expenses payment,per capita monthly income,duration of disease,whether or not to receive diabetes health education,the latest HbA1 c can explain 48.9% of the total variance(P <0.001);they were influ-encing factors of empowerment ability.Conclusion:The empowerment ability of diabetic inpatients was relative-ly satisfactory.Based on the influencing factors which could be intervened by empowerment ability,then nursing workers can carry out the targeted self management education,help patients to discover and develop their po-tential,and be responsible for his own life.
