Survey of cognition of practice nursing students on emergency rescue of sudden public events
Abstract:Objective:To know about the cognition and emergency ability of practice nursing students on emer-gency medical rescue of sudden public events,so as to provide targeted education and guidance.Methods:A total of 330 practice nursing students in 5 third grade A hospitals in Changsha city were investigated by using revi-sion of nursing students perception of public emergency rescue questionnaire.Results:93.6% of practice nursing students thought that the consequences of sudden events were serious.53.9% of practice nursing students thought that it was necessary to carry out disaster nursing education.Only 18.6% of practice nursing students believed that their existing emergency knowledge can adapt to the needs of scene rescue.The score of first aid knowledge of practice nursing students was(9.48±2.97).There was statistically significant difference in the to-tal score among the practice nursing students with different educational systems (P < 0.01 ).Conclusion:The practice nursing students’understanding of the sudden public events is not comprehensive,and the self emer-gency rescue capability is weaker.The education and related training of sudden public events need to carry out aiming at different levels of practice nursing students,so as to improve the cognition and coping ability of prac-tice nursing students on sudden public events.
