Influence of self management education on quality of life and curative effect of patients after glioma surgery un-dergoing three dimensional conformal radiotherapy

Abstract：Objective:To probe into the influence of self management education on quality of life and curative effect of patients after glioma surgery undergoing three dimensional conformal radiotherapy.Methods:A total of 150 gliomas patients based on odd and even of hospitalized number were divided into observation group and con-trol group,75 cases in each.All patients after glioma surgery were given three dimensional conformal radiother-apy.The Patients in control group were given routine nursing intervention during radiotherapy,and the patients in observation group were added self management education conducted by the self efficacy theory.Results:There was statistically significant difference in effective rate between both groups after radiotherapy(P <0.05);the scores of physiological function,physiological functions,physical pain and general health of patients in ob-servation group were higher than that in control group(P <0.05);the incidence of the headache,vomiting,men-tal disorders,epilepsy and other complications in observation group were lower than that in control group(P <0.05).Followed up to November 2014,the survival time of patients in observation group was longer than that in control group(P <0.05).Conclusion:Three dimensional conformal radio therapy combined with self man-agement education for the patients after glioma surgery can effectively reduce the incidence of complications,and promote recovery of physical and mental state,and then to improve the curative effect and survival time.
