Evaluation on application effect of flip classes teaching mode in community nursing teaching

Abstract：Objective:To probe into application effect of teaching mode of flip classes combined with community trainee in community nursing teaching of senior high vocational nursing profession.Methods:A total of 1 12 nursing students in 2 classes were taken from grade 2012 in nursing profession in senior high vocational school by using random sampling method as the observation group,another two classes were taken as control group. The patients in observation group used flip classes teaching methods,and the patients in control group received the traditional teaching method;after theoretical learning,two groups of nursing students were arranged to dif-ferent communities for community trainee,and then to evaluate the teaching effect between both groups.Re-sults:There was no statistically significant difference in examination scores of basic theoretical knowledge be-tween both groups of nursing students(χ2 =2.46,P >2.46).Most nursing students thought that the flip classes could improve the self learning ability(82.14%),enhance the learning interest(83.04%),and increase a sense of accomplishment of community care(75.89%).They hoped to continue developing the teaching reform in the future(77.68%);The probation review results after community trainee showed that the nursing students’com-prehensive score in observation group was higher than that in control group'in four aspects of communication a-bility ,critical thinking ability,emergency response ability and health guidance ability,and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.01).Conclusion:The teaching mode of flip classes combined with community trai-nee is able to improve the self learning ability,learning interest of nursing students and identity to community nursing work,promote the comprehensive qualities of nursing students,and it has got the acceptance and recog-nition of the majority of community residents.
